Day 0: En Route to Fiji

Day 1: Arrival; Pacific Harbour

Early morning arrival in Nadi, Fiji. Transfer via air-conditioned coach to your adventure base for the next few days, The Pearl South Pacific Resort
. For the rest of the day, you're free to relax or come explore by sea kayak the incredible mangrove forests along the coastline. (L)

Day 2: Kayaking the 'luva

After an early breakfast, you'll head to the highlands for your two-day inflatable kayaking excursion on the 'luva River.

Your journey will take you past villages, plantations, natural swimming pools, verdant grottoes, and other treasures of the 'Luva. Your day ends in the village of Nakavika, where a traditional lovo dinner is prepared in your honor by the native Fijians who live there. (B,L,D)

Day 3: Kayaking the 'luva

Following breakfast in Nakavika, the remainder of the day is spent hiking to waterfalls, cooling off in clear swimming holes, and kayaking down the remainder of the 'luva. After passing the confluence with the Upper Navua River, you'll trade your kayaks for a motorized long boat and journey to Nakavu. Transfer back to The Pearl South Pacific Resort. (B,L)

Day 4: Beqa Island

We'll board our boat for this morning cruise out to the volcanic island of Beqa. The day will be spent exploring the mangroves, bays and inlets of this fascinating island, cutting completely through the island by sea kayak. Our journey back to Pacific Harbour is often blessed with beautiful sunsets or escorted by dolphins. (B,L)

Day 5: Rafting the Upper Navua

After an early breakfast, you'll board our especially equipped truck that carries you on the journey into Fiji's rainforest on the Upper Navua River. Spend the day rafting through this narrow canyon where waterfalls plummet and thick, green vegetation contrasts with dark layers of limestone. After a truly breathtaking exploration of the Navua, you'll return to The Pearl South Pacific Resort for the evening. (B,L)

Day 6: Farewell to Fiji

You will have the day to explore Suva, visit a museum & shop or just to relax and enjoy your favorite activity. After one last stroll on the beach, we'll bid farewell to Pacific Harbor. We'll enjoy a final sunset dinner together then head to the airport for a late-night departure.

Flights currently departing Nadi are in the late evening with an arrival in Los Angeles this same day, mid-afternoon. Do not book any connections from the Los Angeles Airport within 2 hours of your arrival time. We recommend 3+ hours as being safer.

OPTIONAL EXTENSIONS: You may wish to extend your trip in Fiji and enjoy the many other activities the islands have to offer or just relax at one of the many resorts. Here are a few ideas we have come up with:

Sailing Safari: Board the Spirit of the Pacific and set sail for the Yasawa islands. We'll settle into the village, explore the island, and snorkel the stunning coral gardens right off the beach. Sleep ashore on a palm-fringed bay in traditional two-person Fijian bures. Spend the days basking in Paradise, trekking the island, sailing the fabulous reefs, snorkeling and swimming in the bays. We will also celebrate in traditional dance and feast ceremonies.

Treasure Island: This tropical dream island is surrounded by a marine sanctuary, which offers a variety of water sports and activities for the entire family. Each bure looks out to the sea and are only a few steps from the white sand beach that circles the island.

Luxury Resort: Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort is of the most internationally appealing, sublimely romantic and uniquely exclusive destinations in the South Pacific. With a name like Cousteau you'd expect some underwater options to be on tap, and you'd be right. This warm and intimate resort is an elegant choice for adventure travelers, family vacations and first or second honeymoons.

Dive Specialist: The Garden Island Resort on Taveuni is home to the Rainbow Reef, one of the world's greatest displays of soft coral. In short, scuba diving in Taveuni is world class. In just 15-20 minutes custom dive vessels will whisk you away to famous dive sites such as the Great White Wall, The Ledge, Annie's Bommie, Blue Ribbon Eel Reef, and more.
